Yes, I know this seems just like a bunch of names with no analysis. I was really looking for comments to see what people though. If its +/-5 spots then forget it. So please tell me what you think. The Domincian guys were kidn fo hard to rank at the end.
My last list was more like players to watch. The following list would probably have been ranked in the top 150 had they not been cut especially Joy and Dennehy

Chris Basak (FA)
Stephen Artz
Jason Kiley
Michael Obradovich
Gabe Medina
Drew Shetrone
Shawn Joy
Timothy Dennehy
Erik Lovett
Matt Morris
Jeff Nutt
Nick Chigges
Alvaro Ramirez

And the dollowing would be top 175 b/c of knind of poor stats from last year:

Chris Kunda
Steven White
Ryan Wilkes
Cody Ehlers
Prilys Cuello(2B/LF)

And the following would have been top 200 or 225

Rob Semerano
Roy Gomez
Brian Chavez
Taylor Holiday
Francisco Castillo

Minor league transactions

Nick Chigges was released. Edgar Soto, CJ Henry, Eric Milton, and Josh Kreuzer were all resigned. OF Matt Carson signed a contract with the A's. I expect him to make an appearance next year.

Although I do like Chris Kunda, Steven White, Ryan Wilkes, Bernie Castro, and Cody Ehlers, I think they have 0 chance of being resigned by the yanks. I think they can find jobs elsewhere. Ehlers and White were once great prospects. The White Sox have fixed a couple of those. Bernie Castro should find a job as a utility man or starting AAA 2B.  Ryan Wilkes is interesting. He barely played all year after being placed on the restricted list. Nutt is in a similar yet better situation. Wilkes could find a job somewhere else. Don't know if he will for sure.

The following players must be cut or traded soon: Dan Giese, Garrett Patterson, Nick Montgomery, Brett Smith, Paul Patterson, Kelvin Perez, Grant Duff, Angel ReyesDavid Williams, Kei IgawaEric WordekemperDamon Sublett, Alfredo AcevesEdwar Gonzalez, Josh Kreuzer, Eladio Rodriguez, Jose Gil, Tim Battle, Eduardo Nunez, Ben Blumenthal, James Cooper, Kevin Smith, Walter Ibarra,  Wilkins Arias, Steve Strausbaugh, Chris Malec, Joseph Muich, Kelvin Castro, Israel Batista,  Noel Castillo, Neall French, Adam Olbrychowski, Dan Cox, Eric Milton, Nick Asselin, and Jason Brown. Most of this list should be traded over cut. The players bolded have some sot of trade value. Igawa would be something weird with a lot of cash. Unbolded players would probably be for around 50-60k in a trade. That would be good enough.

ETAs and comments from other post

Jesus Montero- 2012 is definitely a good target zone. Would love to see him up earlier, but at the time of call up he would be 22. Maybe a September call up in 2011 which would make him 21. Still very young. Be patient with him. Has potential to be HR king. Depends on when Damon leaves team.
Austin Romine-Could be seen splitting catching job in 2011 with Cervlli and taking role fully in 2012. I would assume Posada would move to first for his final season. Two more yars of catching for Posada.
Jairo Heredia-Hopefully we don't make a big free agent splash. I think Moose will eventually sign a contract and retire 2011. Pettitte will keep mulling retirement every year until the end of 2012. My ideal splash to make this off season would be Max Scherzer. I would say he could be here until 2012/13. Jairo Heredia would likely be ready in 2012. He would still be 23 in early 2013.
Austin Jackson-If Nady and Miranda leave than definitely in 2010. I would hope by 2011.
Andrew Brackman-Injuries have been devestating him. I would get late 2011/End of the rotation 2012.
Humberto Sanchez-2009!!! He is fantastic. Could be alternate set-up man for back-back nights when needed. I would give him closer role in 2011. Did I really leave Whelan off the list? I think they will share the role starting 2013.
Jonathon Ortiz- 2012 if we're lucky. He is still in Low A ball.
Patrick Venditte- 2012 if we're lucky. He is still in Short Season A ball.
Alan Horne- I suppose 2011, but if Moose and Pettitte are still here 2012. He had a terrible season with multiple injuries this year finding himself back in High A ball.
Mark Melancon-End of this year. End of 2010. Full year 2011. Then we trade him after he shines in set up to Sanchez,
George Kontos-Again it depends on Moose and Pettitte. I'd say same as Horne.
David Adams-Just drafted September 2013. Full year 2014 as Jeter retires.
Jeremy Bleich-I see him much more of a relief pitcher.Could take him 4-6 years to get here. Real inexperienced he appears to be. That is my guess to why he was placed on the R team even with the late signing factor involved. Haven't seen him remember.
Jeff Marquez- Now auditioning for a White Sox member this July-September.

Seth Fortenberry-2011/1012
Marcos Vechionacci-I hope 2009. Swisher hurts him because Miranda will not be taken off the team
Francisco Cervelli-May 2009 when Molina is traded.

Justin Christian-Already on the team. Great pinch runner.

I realize a lot of these years are similar. Juan Miranda will be a decent major league player. His contract expires after this season or 2010 (Forgot sorry). Could be a little better than a Nick Swisher in his prime.Shelley Duncan and Cody Ehlers are both better prospects (albeit {love using that word} sadly struggling prospects) at our weak 1st base position. Jimmy Paredes and Erik Lovett are better, too.You can make a case for Mitchell Delaney. I do not see a ton of minor league games. I live by Staten Island so it is easy for me to see prospects when they enter the leagues as this is the lowest level next to Gulf Coast which is sometimes skipped. Trenton is close by but I have not been there yet. Brooklyn is a place where the Staten Island team also goes a lot. Easy to get there again, but not as easy as SI. I love going to Lakewood (Phillies) when our Charleston team comes. Hated to see that 11-1 loss this year when Olbrychowski pitched. Jesus tripled though. It is the easiest stadium for me to reach. Scranton Wilkes-Barre appears a bit far.

Yankees Top 15 Prospects

Hey, I have changed the name of my blog from Sports and more sports to this. Now I can focus on one topic. I might talk about a couple of other sports on this also.

Jesus Montero- We all know him. His power is uncanny and divine. The only ? is where do we play him. He is a Catcher with the stature of Big Papi. I really like him at DH. Could we really play him at 1B?
Austin Romine-The reason Montero won;t be catching-Romine is a great defensive catcher and has offense just a bit under that of Montero in different ways of producing.
Jairo Heredia-He has the potential to be our #1 starter, but could wind up at #2. He struggled towards the end of this season, but it absolutely magnificent.
Austin Jackson-Which OF position do we play him at? I say LF in 2010. Damon can move to DH/1B and Nady will be signed for 2 draft picks and Damon will be resigned. Abreu should still be in RF. Matsui will be gone by then. Tabata can eventually come back and replace Abreu I hope. I was so disappointed after his trade to Pittsburgh.
Andrew Brackman-Hard rating a guy who hasn't played so I am basing this on projections. If Heredia is the #2 then he is the #1.
Kevin Whelan-Way out of control, but has the potential to be a closer. Doesn't fare too well versus lefties.
Humberto Sanchez-Supposed to be a starter, but I think it would be better to make him a set-up man/closer with a lefty heavy line up. He has had too many career threatening injuries.
Jonathon Ortiz-Yet another one of the great closers in our system. Ortiz is currently in Low A, but put on a show last year. Should be a good 7th/8th inning guy.
Patrick Venditte-The switch handed pitcher was lights out in Short Season A this year. He was the closer of that team. In the majors he could either be a very funky situational pitcher or a 7th inning guy. I don't know how you have a situational pitcher that pitches with both hands...yet.
Alan Horne-Has the potential to be a #3 starter, but with all the pitchers in the Yankees org. he miht only become a #4 or #5. Depends on Joba, Wang, Kennedy, Brackman, Jairo. Kennedy might be a good long reliever option. An effective on albeit.
Mark Melancon-Another good closer, but slightly overrated. He seems like he won't pitch for the yankees in the already crowded bullpen for more than a year or 2.
George Kontos-If Horne is #5 then he is #6. We must carry 6 SP. He is awesome. He has gotten into a little trouble, but not as bad as Joba. He still as great potential. In Double A.
David Adams-I have gotten to see this guy play a ton of times. He must be Jeter's replacement. He is a 2B, but we do not have a good SS. A-Rod will be here when Jeter retires. Move him to SS soon. Vechionacci/Suttle could play 3B.
Jeremy Bleich-Hate rating guys I haven't seen pitch in person.I don't really know if he coud pitch in the bullpen or in a crowded rotation. We'll see how he turns out.
Jeff Marquez-Another guy. Saw him pitch once. Was average. Don't know how he fits into a rotation like ours. I don;t really even include Betances, who pitched absolutely terrible 2x when I saw him. Marquez has played better in games I haven't seen him. Don't know what to tell you here.

Seth Fortenberry- Best OF arm. Good Defensive replacement. Might be better than Mondesi
Marcos Vechionacci-Great arm in the IF. His 3B skills are like no others. I even have a picture of him in my living room.
Francisco Cervelli-Very good Defensive catcher. Could be a long time reserve catcher.                                                                                     Justin Christian-Uncanny speed like Brett Gardner. Future Pinch runner.

I consider Gardner already in the majors and far too late for him to make this list b/c it really is for minor leaguers.
