The Yankees worst team, the Tampa Yankees had their alll star reps anounced. They will send 3, 2 of which will play, to the all star game. Jesus Montero, who was an obvious choice, cannot play because of his promotion to AA Trenton. He was hitting .356, with 15 doubles and 8 Homeruns. He has an OPS of .989. Austin Romine made the team hitting .286 with 16 Doubles and 6 Homeruns. He stole 5 bases and drive in 29.

The yankees pitcher that made the team was Jon Ortiz. Ortiz was the teams closer, but he lost the job to Jon Hovis. Ortiz had a 6.14 ERA with 7 saves. His WHIP was 1.84 and he had a record of 0-3.

1. Jesus Montero- Power hitting Catcher with MVP potential and perrenial all star (even with Wieters, Teagarden, Salty, Tyler Flowers, and Max Ramirez in league). Could change position. In Hi A Tampa ETA: 2012

Austin Jackson- CF likely to move to corner OF if Gardner develops well. All around player with speed, power, contact hitting, and defense. Needs to stop K'ing. In AAA Scranton ETA: 2010

Andrew Brackman- Struggled early in year, but has found his old stuff. Likely to be Yankees ace in 2012/2013 In Low A Charleston ETA: June/July 2011

Austin Romine- Another great catcher who will hit .300 with decent power and high RBI numbers. Much better defensively then Montero. In Hi A Tampa. ETA: 2012

LF: Xavier Nady vs. Nick Swisher Nady should be the clear winner here

CF: Nick Swisher vs. Brett Gardner vs. Melky Cabrera Gardner is going to be a huge asset to this team. Swisher will not be happy about this.

Utility IF: Cody Ransom vs. Angel Berroa Ransom has more power and can play the corners giving him an advantage.

4th OF: Nick Swisher vs. Melky Cabrera: Melky can come in for defense for Nady/Damon. That givers him an advantage because we already have Ransom's bat on the bench. You don't need Swisher's

The Red Sox are a team with hardly any battles. Now that the Red Sox chose Julio Lugo over Jed Lowrie, they really don't need too many other things to decide.

5th OF of 8th bullpen man: Brad Wilkerson vs. Billy Traber vs. Fernando Cabrera I have to go with Wilkerson here so they have someone to backup first base. Traber will come up at some point

Notable players not on roster: Nick Green, Billy Traber, Fernando Cabrera, Wes Littleton, Marcus McBeth, Enrique Gonzalez, Devern Hansack, Jeff Bailey, Chris Carter, Lars Anderson, Jonathon Van Every, Paul McAnulty, Ivan Ochoa, Gil A. Velazquez, Chip Ambres, George Kottaras

Out until early June: John Smoltz

Travis Snider will be a decent major league player, but I think he will not be what everyone thinks he is. He will be an all star for about 70% of his career and be okay all around. HE will be a great OF for the AL, but watch the NL have a lot better ones like Maybin, maybe McCutchen, Rasmus, Heyward, Stanton, and Schaefer. In the AL LaPorta and A-Jax are just as good as him. Snider is still a top 10 OF, but not worth a top 10 prospect. I am not saying anything about him not being good because he is going to be a good OF. The Jays have a couple holes still. They will be a good 4th place team.

4th OF (other than DH Lind):Adam Loewen vs. Jose Bautista vs. Jason Lane vs. Joe Inglett vs. Kevin Millar Yikes. These might be okay choices for 5th OF. They may want to sign a Jay Payton or Jim Edmonds. I don't know who would play CF if Wells gets hurt again. Inglett and Millar could also play OF. I would go Inglett

I really think this Orioles team is so bad is might get about 45 wins. Sherrill will be one of the only bright spots with a low ERA and maybe 20-25 saves.

Starters 2-5: Koji Uehara vs. Rich Hill vs. Brad Hennessey vs. Mark Hendrickson vs. Danys Baez vs. David Pauley vs. Troy Patton vs. Hayden Penn vs. Radhames Lee vs. Chris Waters vs. Chris Tillman vs. Matt Albers vs. Jake Arrieta I really have no idea what to make of this. I guess Rich Hill and MArk Hendrickson will make it. Baez might be in the pen. Penn is the 4th guy for me. I like Albers and Liz but they might have to go to the pen. Hennessey will be the last guy edging out Uehara.

Main IF reserve: Chris Gomez vs. Ty Wigginton vs. Ryan Freel Gomez won't make it. Wigginton will be the main IF. Freel might play some OF.

4th OF: Gabe Gross vs. Gabe Kapler vs. Justin Ruggiano vs. Fernando Perez All of these guys are vauble options. I think they'll choose one of the veterans and keep the younger guys in the minors. Gross is the choice.

Utility IF: Morgan Ensberg vs. Willy Aybar vs. Ben Zorbist vs. Elliot Johnson Aybar should win this job, but Zorbist is still a viable option for 25th man.

Backup catcher: John Jaso vs. Shawn Riggans vs. Michael HErnandez. It's good to have JAso in the minors. Right now Riggans is my man.

25th man: John Jaso vs. Gabe Kapler vs. Justin Ruggiano vs. Fernando Perez vs. Elliot Johnson vs. Ben Zorbist I go with Ben Zorbist here because the pen is so set that every player in the pen already knows what position they hold. The OFs will wait in the minors for now. Elliot Johnson can, too. Jaso is a catcher and I do not see a team carrying 3 catcher when the starter doesn't have an injury problem.

The White Sox are going to struggle to start the year. They will have a good 2nd half, but it won't be enough.

CF: Dewayne Wise vs. Brian Anderson vs. Jerry Owens According to the fantasy leagues Wise has the lead. This would make no sense to me. Anderson is not going to win it so I would have gone with Jerry Owens. IS there something I am missing here. JErry Owens is the one who hasn't failed yet.

4th and 5th SP: Bartolo Colon vs. Lance Broadway vs. Clayton Richard vs. Aaron Pordea vs. Jeff Marquez. Marquez has good potential, but won't be in the MLB until August. Pordea was a first round pick ,but likely won't be heavily competing either. Lance Broadway has a high ERA, but I think he will get one spot. Richard has a high ERA as well and a bad record. The two will fight it out in the spring. Colon and Broadway get it.

I am really skeptical of Carlos Guillen in LF, but I will give this a shot.

Utility IF: Ryan Raburn vs. Ramon Santiago. I really have to give this to Raburn. He played a bit more last year than Santiago. Raburn's bat is much worse, but I think he will be just a smidge ahead.

5th SP: Dontrelle Willis vs. Nate Robertson vs. Zach Miner. Willis will get this if he shows anything in spring. Too bad he won't so I am giving it to Robertson.

Closer: Fernando Rodney vs. Brandon Lyon. I absolutely love Lyon and have the utmost confidence in him. It is his job to lose.

Is it possible to get 12 teams in the tournament from 1 conference? Unlikely, but this is the way that can make it possible. This is the remaining schedule. I know Syracuse is my favorite team, and I wanted them to lose a game, but I don't want them to lose either of their next 2, and after that the schedule gets easy until the last game which I think they would be ready for. I had them lose in the conference championship though. The bold team is the winner. Pitt is beating DePaul right now by the way. Some of the games don't matter especially Duke vs. St. John's and DePaul's game agianst one of the bottom 3. I gave Duke a victory and DePaul had to get one conference win. Some teams like Cincinnati and Seton Hall and Notre Dame and Georgetown will have multiple chances to get their 9th win, but I don't think they can get above that with extra wins against team like Pitt, Lousiville, Nova, Cuse, UCONN. They had to win one so I tried to give it against a team that could afford a loss. And again I know some of these are not truly possible, but I just wanted to see how many teams could get it with a lot of luck. * Sat, Feb 07 DePaul Pittsburgh Rosemont, Ill. 2:00 p.m. BIG EAST Network Local

The Twins are looking to be a very good team, and they only have a couple of battles.

Utility IF: Brian Buscher vs. Matt Tolbert vs. Matt Macri Like every team, utility IF is a battle. Macri is the most versatile, but Buscher is the best of them so he gets the nod.

5th, 6th, and 7th bullpen men: Boof Bonser vs. Phillip Humber vs. Kevin Mulvey vs. Jason Jones vs. Bobby Korecky vs. Brian Duensing vs. Ben Julianel vs. R.A. Dickey vs. Sean Henn vs. Mike Gosling I would bet anything Bonser would be here if he is not traded. Phillip Humber is major league ready, but I cannot see him getting this job. Kevin Mulvey is not on the 40 man roster so will not get it. Jason Jones likely could, but would have to return to the Yankees if he doesn't. Could very well be the long reliever. Bobby Korecky has some exp. in the pen so he would also get in. R.A. Dickey has the knuckleball so for him to be a reliever than they'd have to have Mauer be able to catch it. Julianel probably won't get in. Henn is a good lefty, but I don't know if he is in the top 7 based on Jones being forced to leave.

The Royals did a lot to help themselves this offseason so don't be surprised if they do well.

C: Joe Buck vs. Miguel Olivo Joe Buck really needs to come through to keep his job. The Royals are getting serious about it now. I still like Buck, but they will split time.

Utility IF: Esteban German vs. Alberto Callapso vs. Luis Hernandez vs. Tony Pena vs. Willie Bloomquist Callapso is the likely favorite of the group. Pena is a plus for defense and German is the veteran. I like Callapso to win this job. German can be traded. Hernandez and Pena are minor league depth. Bloomquist is oft injured.

4th OF: Shane Costa vs. Mitch Maier vs. Ross Gload vs. Tommy Murphy Gload is an absolute beast. Costa didn't play last year just limiting his competition. Gload can't play all the OF positions, but CF and LF are already versatile and Teahan can move back.

The Indians are a team w/o many battles going on this spring. In the few that they have, the choice will affect how well they can do in this deep division.

Utility IF: Jamey Carroll vs. Josh Barfield vs. Andy Marte I would give this to Barfield, but last year was not one to remember with him. Carroll is more versatile than Marte so this job goes to him.

3rd/4th/5th SP Carl Pavano vs. Aaron Laffey vs. Jeremy Sowers vs. Tomo Okha vs. Zach Jackson vs. Anthony Reyes vs. Scott Lewis Lewis pitched well last year. Laffey is more of a reliever. Pavano needs not to be injured. I do not think Lewis really has a chance at this job even with how he pitched. Okha has had too many chances. Anthony Reyes will get a spot with Pavano and Laffey. Jake Westbrook will eventually be back for one spot.

The Rangers don't appear to be going anywhere this year either. They are not as bad as the Mariners...yet.

SS: Omar Vizquel vs. Elvis Andrus Andrus is going in with the position as his, but I think he will get the job in June when he is more ready.

1B/DH: Frank Catalanato vs. Chris Davis vs. Hank Blalock Catalano does not have as much to offer as the other to and he is versatile meaning that he will ikely make the team as a bench player.

Utility IF: German Duran vs. Travis Metcalf vs. Joaquin Arias This job could be Vizquel's in June. I still think Metcalf is the best of them, but Duran is the most likely to get it.

The Mariners are a really struggling team right now with nothing to look forward to. Their position battles are plenty (and insignificant).

CF: Franklin Gutierrez vs. Endy Chavez I really think Chavez should win this, but he probably won't. Last year his BA was much higher even though he does not him for power or drive in many runs. Last year he was a defensive replacement a lot. His defense is really good. Gutierrez will probably get the nod.

Back up catcher: Rob Johnson vs. Jamie Burke If the winner would also get a pitching spot then Jamie Burke would win hands down. However, neither player played well last season, but in much more playing time Jamie Burke played significantly better. He is not on the 40 man roster currently though.
